The Maine Writers Index : is an excellent searchable database of writers with a relationship to the State of Maine. The connection may be birth, residency, employment or works that are set in Maine. It is maintained by the good folks at the Waterboro Public Library. (Hint: in your search you can select by genre, time period, gender, and/or last name.
