Due to the 6-12 inches of snow that would great everyone
at the unshoveled Frost Farm tomorrow, this year's event
has been cancelled. So sorry to all the living (and dead.)
To Watch His Woods Fill Up With Snow
As much as I would like to watch
his woods fill up with snow,
I will defer to Mother Earth
and the Trustees here below.
As much as my horse would not mind
the easy sweep of downy flake
it might make sense to cancel the plans--
except for the mice who rule the place.
As much as I dream of Halloween Snow
at a house that's hallowed ground,
and wish to walk near the mending wall,
it's true that someone could fall.
As much as my heart was set on this,
and my ears were keen as a deers,
I'll have to dream of being there,
and giving the kids their goodnight kiss.
