There are still a few slots for several more readers to read from the works of 36 Maine poets on the first national Dead Poets Remembrance Day celebration. The themes for the day will center around the sea: shipbuilding, vacationing, whaling, islands, shipwrecks, lighthouses, sailing, etc.
Please e-mail maine [at] deadpoes [dot] org if you can be a reader, and if the poem is not already on the schedule, please suggest which poem you would like to read. (In the interests of time, unless the poems are short, we will usually limit our readings to one or two poems per reader.)
We will update the itinerary with more names and poems as they are decided. Please note that the event is going to be filmed for inclusion in a documentary film, so readers may be asked to sign a release allowing them to be filmed, though that will not be mandatory. All readers are welcome to sign up regardless.
would be interested in reading Ruth Moore.

Dear Nanette, I have good and less good news: One of Ruth's close relatives will be reading her poetry and talking about her; However, would you be interested in reading a poem or two by either Abbie Huston Evans, or Hortense Flexner? I can provide you with the poems if you don't have access.
